Tea Hoffmann is a Lead Coach at Law Strategy Coach. Her mission is to be the change agent that lawyers need to become more successful long-term.
Tea practiced law for over 13 years, serving both in a law firm and as the GC of a publicly-traded company.

In 2001, she opened her first legal consulting business, Legal Training Group. After five years, she joined one of her clients as their first Chief Business Development Officer. During her tenure, the firm doubled in size. She remained in that position for six years. She was named the Chief Strategy Officer at an AmLaw 200 firm in Charlotte, NC in 2011.

In addition to online training, Tea provides law firms with high energy retreat facilitation and presentations, leadership, wellness and individual coaching programs and training designed for associates and partners. Tea is a certified Life and Executive Coach as well as a certified Franklin Covey™ Facilitator.

Tea published a book entitled “The Proactive Practice” in 2004. She served on the editorial board of Law Practice magazine, a publication of the American Bar Association for three years and is a Fellow in the College of Law Practice Management. She has been published in multiple journals and legal publications.

Tea retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard after over twenty-four years of service in July 2018. She is a member of the Legal Marketing Association, Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association (Law Practice Management Section.)

With 25 years of experience as a lawyer in private practice, in-house counsel and as a practice group COO Aileen has an enviable track record in managing change and transforming mindsets. She is among the few in the legal industry with this multi-dimensional perspective.

Aileen's approach is based on learning "why" to enable her clients to understand what success looks like and determine the underlying causes of current points of pain and success. The outcome is value creation, sound and sustainable economic results, and improved client satisfaction

Aileen develops unique curricula, using best practices in community building e-learning as well as live training, coaching and hands-on support for lawyers by integrating practical business skills with her legal substantive knowledge and experience.

Aileen founded QLex Consulting in 2006 while maintaining her affiliations with of top-tier organizations. She has served as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and in the U.S. office of Blaqwell Inc. At PwC, she created benchmarking tools that continue to set the legal industry standard. She provides professional development coaching and training on the tactical and "soft skills" to leaders in the practice management, pricing, project management, knowledge management and client experience/innovation roles.

Aileen has been recognized by her peers as a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management, where she first met Tea Hoffmann. She is also a Fellow and Accredited Training Provider by the government-licensed organization, The International Institute of Legal Project Management.

Karen is a senior attorney and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with over 20 years of international experience in corporate-commercial, regulatory, and education law. She’s practiced law in Canada and Europe and, for almost a decade, has facilitated legal process improvement projects at AmLaw 100 and 200 firms, Canada’s largest firms, in-house legal departments at multinational corporations, and public sector institutions. Industry leaders in innovative legal service delivery models, Karen and her partner, David Skinner, co-founded Gimbal—Lean Practice Management Advisors and are the Global Advisors (Legal Process Improvement) to the International Institute of Legal Project Management (IILPM). Karen also sits on the Global Advisory Committee of the IILPM. Karen specializes in law practice efficiency. She’s taught Gimbal’s proven LeanLegal® approach to thousands of legal professionals around the world and is a popular conference speaker and university lecturer.
